I've seen posters like 'revenir' a lot in various sorts of forums over the years. Pretty much 100% turn out to be seeding a forum full of meaningless posts, usually very brief and rarely with any significant connection to the thread subjects. Once these folks figure they've planted enough seeds, they typically go into their user profiles and edit in a signature with a link to some site selling real estate, viagra, kombucha, miraculous software for whatever, etc. The signature immediately shows up in every post they put into the forum over days or weeks, and they cash in on clicks. Or so the theory seems to run. It'd be a pretty dang stupid individual to click on such links, but I guess it must happen. And even if it doesn't, they've spread their spam network, at least in theory. Win!
