Who's not using a suppressor for shtf?
Who's not using a suppressor for shtf?
Seems like it's overall worth the added pack weight to pack a suppressor.

Why would anyone shoot anything unsupressed ever except shotguns? Loud guns suck!

Definitely worth the added weight. Would mask your position from theives or those who would want to do you harm. Also could use subsonic for hunting or taking out threats without alerting anyone. And only 20 oz or so!

I'd shoot shotguns suppressed too if a manufacturer made one. Theyve been sold in Europe for a long time.66427vette wrote:Why would anyone shoot anything unsupressed ever except shotguns? Loud guns suck!

Looks like Silencerco solved that with the Salvo-12!

This is one reason that I have bought a suppressor(s).
Might look into the new shotgun one.

Wouldn't leave the castle without one... or two.

What's that? I'm new to suppressors, so you'll have to SPEAK UP!66427vette wrote:Why would anyone shoot anything unsupressed ever except shotguns? Loud guns suck!

I probably won't. At least, not until I get back to the homestead. I'll probably be at work, or worse - out of town on business - when the balloon goes up. My SHTF story will be my trek back to those I love. That trek will be made with my gear I keep loaded in my truck at all times, which does not include suppressors.
Once I get back, I suppose all my shots fired will be suppressed.

Re: Who's not using a suppressor for shtf?
As a newbie , I can opine that suppressor in a SHTF circumstance, like a city with roaming gangs, is a good idea, but then it works for me in other circumstances, considering what it takes to survive. I like the idea of making survival a full time occupation.
When it comes to heading for the hills or Bug Out site, though, maybe we have to consider what the priorities are, so questions arise as to whether an all-around weapon is best, a rifle that will function for hunting as well as defense, and whether it will break down to go into a backpack? Do you really need a suppressor for survival at a remote location?
Could be that I'll go along with the comment made, that he won't bring the suppressed weapon to the Bug Out location, but keep it at home for when he returns. Could then also have a suppressed weapon or two, stored at Bug Out location; maybe a .22 and also an A-10 in larger caliber?
