9x39 Wolf?

A few years back when I first heard of the 9x39 cartridge and the guns made for it, the Commie Whisper really got me excited. Now that Wolf has started importing it, I'm underwhelmed. There are two companies making AR uppers and one load available. Steel cased FMJ.

Has anybody here handled it? Bought in and put a rifle together? Any sightings of the rare beast in the wild?

I'd love to see it catch on enough to be able to buy quality ammo and components and maybe even see some factory guns come out. We will see.

I've followed it with interest, but other than a few reports of one that Dr. Dater tested in Asia, is probably the most info that I've seen.

I've not seen any commercial offerings.

I have an 8.5" upper and ammo on the way. Will try to update when I get a chance to shoot it.
