.45ACP Can on .450 Bushmaster?

I have .45ACP can (rated for all diameter-appropriate pistol calibers) that I would like to use on a soon-to-be-finished .450 Bushmaster build. Since the can will handle .357Sig (with a SAAMI Service MAP of 40,000psi), it should handle .450 Bushmaster (which has a SAAMI Service MAP of 38,500psi), correct?

Chamber pressure is not a factor with suppressors; gas volume and muzzle pressure are.

Some pistol cans can handle .300BLK subsonic loads, but not supersonic loads.

My can is rated for sub 300AAC. Any idea how that round compares to 450? Where can I find such data on the interwebs?

1. Contact the manufacturer of your can to see whether shooting .450 BM loads is safe.
2. Determine the pressure of your .450 BM loads.
3. Determine the pressure of 300 AAC loads.

I wouldn't even try it.

The obsidian 45 is 450 bushmaster rated.
The hybrid 46 is as well.

Dont assume a silencer is 450 bushmaster rated because of chamber or muzzle pressure. Powder charge weight plays an important role. 450 bushmaster has 5 times the powder as a 45 ACP
