I'm a first-timer & going to be mailing out the form 4s next week. What mailing option is best? I don't want any screw-ups as I've had enough of them already.

I for one always pay the extra at the US Post Office to send any letter
to any bureaucracy accompanied with a signature return receipt.

Call my procedure redundant. Just experience gleaned from having worked in the world's largest
bureaucracy.

And given the way items get lost, misplaced, shredded, etc.

How about next day air with tracking? Or is there a better way?

Priority mail with cashed check as proof of delivery works for me. First class is fine too.

USPS with delivery confirmation and signature receipt.

Overnight or 2 day mailing a application that will take 6+ months to approve seems a little silly to me. Save the money for ammo.

if it's a single form, i send it USPS First Class and if the check is cashed within a few weeks, i know it got there. if it's a bunch of forms, i just put it in a USPS Flat Rate envelope.

I throw a couple stamps on mine and stick it in the mailbox. Lol

I just wrote free in the corner and gave it to the mail guys. Went pending a few days ago, so I guess it worked.

USPS flat rate envelope with del conf....works for me.
