Can I safely run my 762SD on my 7mm WSM?
I would like to get a first-hand response from one of our AAC reps.
Thanks for your time!

I'm not a suppressor master...but I'm going to say no. The 7mm's pressure (4100 J) is a lot higher than a 308's (3600 J) which is usually the tell tale sign of no.

I agree with your post, but I am hoping to get a Yes or No answer from an AAC rep.
I am good with either answer directly from AAC, and If it is No I will just buy another
can.....this one rated for my 7mm WSM.
Thanks for your response.

They aren't always on the forum, you'll get a direct answer guaranteed only by asking them directly-

Sorry, but it is not rated for that caliber.

Smart answer. Hopefully the below info will help out with future questions.

You can use a silencer on an alternate caliber as long as the projectile diameter and pressure are equal to or less than the caliber the silencer was designed for. You can use 5.56mm in a silencer designed for 7.62mm, but you should not use a 300 Ultra Mag round in a 7.62mm silencer. Stay with equal or less case capacity than the silencer was designed for. Using a silencer in an alternate caliber can be fun and cost effective, if you use common sense and stay within these guidelines.

This link shows a pretty good list of case capacities for most modern cartridges.
