General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

The "sound moderator" on that site is a smaller copy of the old Parker Hale design with mild steel cup baffles.
Performance of that unit will never compare to todays modern designs.
Years ago a friend had one fitted to his single shot BSA .22, and I remember that it was quiet loud.
They used to be imported here but haven't been available for a while now.

Hey Pat, I just checked out your web sites and I have to ask, is it all right for an old timer to say "real cool, man" cause they are!
I liked your charts and video's, they rock!
As much as I enjoy reloading I'm happy I'm not the guy who will reload all the brass up past your ankles in the mini-guns video's, lol. :D

Thanks Hush, Yea, we still remember what "Real Cool" is!

OLD Timer? I just found my FIRST FFL, expired 1984. Do you remember 1984-1986? If I would have keep just HALF of what I had then, s--t, I could retire easily!

Got SOME info
So the guy is out of Christchurch, New Zealand.

NO data, can't be much, but then again, it is a "Sound Moderators".

Price is only $19.75, but minimum order is "Quantities of 500 Units"
I have a few OTHER idea's where $10,000 could go.

The NEW HEMI Dodge Charger, is going to be released NEXT MONTH.
I know it's not my 1967, but it would run on today's cheep gas!

Was thinking about that, but there really isn't a market for them.
Customers would still have to pay $200, so what's the point of lowering the report to something you would still need hearing protection?
But they do look cool, might have to make up some FAKE cans, for like Tomcat .22/.32's?
