M&P22 Compact

I don't know how many people got the new smaller MP22 Compact? It has good reviews so far. I'm really looking forward to hearing the difference between the non-zinc small 22LR pistols.

I was stunned that I could not find any thread adapters for the MP22C as their adapter has different barrel threads than it's big brother and all the other zinc slide pistols. Today I called S&W and they told me the adapters would come from the silencer companies.

I was disappointed but then I saw a post from Matt at SRI over at NFAtalk.org. He"s making them.

"Hey guys!

Just finalized our thread adapters for the new S&W M&P22 Compact .22lr handgun.

Here's a picture of the product....(we snapped the pic before they were notched for the wrench so that feature isn't shown but will be on the delivered product).

Image

On the left is the adapter built for the Silencerco Sparrow/Spectre o-ring profile, and on the right is the traditional adapter.

These adapters are offered in SS and the cost is $40 apiece delivered.

We are also offering a limited run of 25 of the Silencerco profiled adapters in titanium for $50 apiece delivered. These are first come first serve.

PM or Contact Shawn to purchase one!" Image

Are you sure its the thread adapter for the M&P 22 COMPACT and not the M&P 22 full size? They are two completely different adapters and not compatible.

accuracy from mp22c is amazing.

Don't know why, but my Prodigy is ALWAYS giving me some POI shifting.

Could be the homemade adapter.

I switched to the 9mm Abraxas and POI shift went away.

Very nice presentation ... especially the beautiful background clouds at the range, like a Hollywood
setting. My only regret is that the metal plate target masked how well the suppressor was working.
Almost felt that I should have put on my 'ears' during the shots as your pick up mike transmitted the
sounds in hi-fidelity.

Happy shooting.

The Silencer Store will have these adapters available next week, probably Tuesday and will be $25 including a thread protector. I will update this post with a link when they are ready.

How is the blow back on a suppressed MP22C?

On the original MP22 and my colt/umarex 1911-22, I notice the blow back wasn't too bad, but they both also had slightly longer barrels. But on my browning 1911-22 with a 3.6" barrel, I find the blow back unbearable. Just wondering if the short barrel on the new MP22C would cause the same effect on blow back.

(Forgot to mention this was with a Spectre II)

Did you read the thread?

There are 3 different ones advertised in this thread.

Started off with my ad, then Titsworth added his to it, then someone added TROS.

At least w/SRI I can get a adapter for the Specter II that will seal w/the o-ring and keep the crud form backing into the weapon... so yea I'll pay extra for that
