Pictures of Sectioned and X-rayed Silencers - Update Gemtech - RSA - F1

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

You know there is already a thread with all these in it and more right? Its the baffle pictures thread. Guessing you missed it, although its not strictly limited to xrays and cutaways...

Thank you Gunny. There are a few I have not seen pictures of including the faux pistol suppressor.I love to see the WW2 German suppressors, some are very complex.Have you ever used any of them that were ahead of there time. With subsonic ammo it sure looks like some models were probably very quiet.

The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

The first image noted as B&T Impuls 2A is actually a Impuls made by CCF. Same can just licensed to be made in the US.

I believe after a bit or research and a few xrays that #4 on the large xray is actually a KAC MP5SD can. Have to pull up my xrays again to verify though but it is definitly not the SR25 can.

#7 on the large xray is the Triple X Warrior 5.56mm can.

Capt,

I have shot the model that looks like in the big Sectioned Picture.
When you hold it it looks like an grenade launcher cup.
It holds 2 rubber plugs (wipe) and with the Nahpatrone ( reload) it sounds like an airgun. I was impressed.
Accuracy was not bad but I would not try an 8" target at 100 meters. if my live depended on it.
Might be that the reloads where not up to specs but at 50 to 75 meters it was a great fun toy.

Bender I do know about the Baffle Picture thread, but wanted to keep this to Sectioned and X-rayed models as they do sometimes show more about the design.
So if it i snot a problem I want to keen updating this from time to time with new / old finds.
Maybe adding extra information besides brand. Include model and maybe Patent numbers?

I do think that the online info on # 9 being a SCAR silencer i snot correct as well, I would have to check my data on that to.

I have looked through probably 90% of the relevant archive threads but for myself appreciate the comprehensive pics in one post. Kind of like a repository rather than digging through various threads for pictures. Thank you and bookmarked.

Nope i have that one bookmarked too. Also a great resource. Unfortunate that some of the pics are red x's now. I never could understand what was wrong with stickying it.

This is an awesome thread. Very educational all on its own.
It is not the Death Rattle in the throat of Western civilization which is surprising: it is the fact that millions of Americans believe that the death rattle is a beautiful song!

Amazing thread!! I was shocked to see the number of 5.56 suppressors that utilize a low number of baffles. I was trying to tell if those cans clip the baffles. Particularly the Gemtechs. I've shot the M4-2000 and it was very quiet on a 14" M4.
