form 4 trustee signature question.

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

form 4 trustee signature question.

Post by CanOfWhooppass »

Need a confirmation so I can sleep at night. Local shop prepared two form 4's for suppressors on my trust. I was told not to sign as "signature of transferee" block 15, and left it blank - mailed it out. Is this likely to cause problems? I trust the owner 100%, but he wasn't there and it was an employee advising me, so I'm second guessing myself.

It's fine. Section 15 can actually be left blank for silencers only. Experienced dealers know this. But there's no harm in having it filled out either.

I wasn't told to sign as trustee, I was told to leave the signature blank. I've done what you said and it worked out fine. It was actualy what I expected to happen this time.

Thank you, my stress levels were getting up there. If I had a problem it would be caught post 41F.

I've only signed one, and that's because it was a local purchase.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
