Good 80% Silencers

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Good 80% Silencers

Post by jgolden »

I've been looking to go the DIY path for my next suppressor and haven't had a whole lot of luck finding a quality product. I don't want to convert a heavy maglight or use cheap freeze plugs. Does anyone have any recommendations on a nice 80%? Or any experience with the form 1 for a suppressor? Is it any different from how I did my SBR?

There are no good true "kits". Most of them are cheap Chinese parts with a generic design.
Tons of info on this topic, on this page alone.
Slightly different than doing an SBR, where you only need to swap barrels or install a pistol upper. Paperwork is the same. All that info has been provided here as well. Just need to do some looking
