If a chat room is established, I would suggest that times be set up and communicated to the Forum during which everyone could try to make it a point to participate. That way there is less hit and miss and it would be less likely that the chat room would die on the vine. The times should be conducive to participating from both coasts, not too early and not too late.

Yea, would probably be best if chat times where aranged so everyone could hopefully get on at the same time.

imho, an IRC channel would be the best solution. You could setup some sort of cgi IRC client, or direct people to download mIRC/trillian (for windows), BitchX/Epic for UNIX, or whatever the respective IRC client is for a person's given OS.
