AAC M-4 1000 vs AAC M-4 2000
Is the M4 2000 worth spending the extra money if you are not shooting full auto. I was quoted 725.00 for the m4 1000 with the mount. I was quoted 1050.00 for the m4 2000. Is it really worth the extra 325.00. This will be my first suppressor and it is going on a RRA Elite comp .556 16''Any help would be great.

Seriously though, it is good advice for anyone who wants to read a good review to help them decide which can to get. Maybe he should put it in his sig.

Great second post.
Can't wait to see what else you're bringing to the show??
Seriously though I get pretty tired of "Pay the $30 and find out". Great. Everyone gets it. At that point might as well just shut down all the various suppressor forums and have them redirect to "Pay $30 to get your answers".
It would be akin to if on an automotive forum every question was answered with "Take it to your local mechanic". Frankly, not very helpful.
Sure, I enjoy both.
I answered the question. I just can't expose the exact numbers or I loose my membership. Someone in the NFA world to pay 30$ to see the actual #s is up to them, but extremely nominal. I did still answer the question. How specific should I be?
Once A-Socom starts testing all info will be free again. So don't worry, all will be revealed in due time.
Any questions I can clear up further, feel free to PM me.

Spend the extra money and get the M4-2000. Its worth the extra money. even though your not shooting full auto, the can is welded to withstand such pressures. So semi-auto firing through the same can , the life of the can will be extended tremendously. What is really nice is that it is a self cleaning can too. The BLACKOUT flash suppressor that comes with it is awesome too. For your first suppressor purchase, you are definatley looking at a quality can. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE PATIENTS THROUGH OUT THE WAITING PERIOD. Hearing it is taking up to 6 months to receive the tax stamp now.

Just want to respond to some of the above comments.SMILEwait4Flash wrote:Spend the extra money and get the M4-2000. First, again, if the money is OK, the M4-2000 IS worth it, but-
The M4-1000 is likewise fully welded, with an Inconel blast baffle and will easily stand up to full auto as well.
Both models mount to BLACKOUT flash suppressors.
No can is self-cleaning, but centerfire rifle cans do not fill up fast due to the high pressures of the rifle cartridges.
Current ATF waits are in the 4 month range. (some recent ones have been faster).

Why don't you just spilt the difference, Pay 'round $900 and buy the M4-2000?glock_man23 wrote:Is the M4 2000 worth spending the extra money if you are not shooting full auto.
