I wouldn't buy an ACR with a 1-9" ROT barrel. If I'm going to spend $2k+ on a 5.56 carbine with proprietary parts, it's going to be an SR15E3. If the ACR were $1000-1300, maybe. I'm not dropping $2000 on anything with "Bushmaster" engraved on it.TigWiz wrote:Possibly a deal breaker? YESsgtmajor wrote:SUPER GAYJonas wrote:

PLEASE NOTE: Bushmaster will sell the ACR to commercial customers and state and local law enforcement agencies. Initial shipments for the Basic commercial configuration are slated for March 1, 2010; followed by release of the Enhanced commercial version on May, 1, 2010. Versions for the law enforcement community are configured for the unique operators’ requirements and restricted for sale. Remington Arms Company, Inc. will sell the Remington branded ACR to US Military, US Federal Agencies and select foreign militaries.
Suggested retail price: Basic $2,685 and Enhanced $3,061.

I'd agree with the LE thing if I didn't pay taxes. Since I do I think it's still us who got fucked. :/Cheetah wrote:followed by release of the Enhanced commercial version on May, 1, 2010. Suggested retail price: Basic $2,685 and Enhanced $3,061.

I have to say WTF magpul 1/9 twist and 2700 for a plastic rifle with a grip I can not change out! It's time you return to your roots and make this a rifle for the common man.!!!! And F--k bushmaster I won't buy that s--t!!! I'll be going rem or nothing
Could someone from magpul chim in and explain what the F--k is going on?

At this point it is out of magpuls hands... whatever Bushmaster decides to spec the rifle with is whats going to happen same for remington.
With any luck it will come down in price within the next year or so and potentially will have some improvements. I think that is why you see them coming the way they do. It would be nice to see a spec sheet on remingtons version. potentially it will be more to "our" liking than the bushmaster version, but when will it be available... who knows I'll hold off on this weapon till i see some definitve results from either company.
who knows how the robinson arms lawsuit will go too.... that might make the ACR go back to the drawing board.
ALL OF THIS IS MY OPINION I AM NOT AN INSIDER!!! ROFL!
