Yes, sorry. I am going to try to see if I can make money from the site rather than run it at a loss.

I can ignore them.

Robert, Thanks again for this site. It is my internet home away from home.
Going a little more discrete here due to some of my opinions...

I just use ADBlock Plus and i don't see them, so it really doesn't bug me. If you decide to do a fundraiser i can donate some Jeffersons your way

No, I added them to try to make money from the site. At least it should be a net gain instead of a net loss. I think if I try to make a profit then I can tax deduct the expenses.

I believe the test for "small home business" by IRS rules is is profit 3 out of 5 years.

Anything less than that is a hobby and does not qualify for Schedule C.

More information here:
http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=186056,00.html

Back when I used to do some individual taxes people were completely confused as to why their Avon, Mary Kay, Home interiors, AMWAY business that lost them money year after year was really a "hobby" and not a serious business by IRS rules.

I fixed the adds in this way

I hate the Google Adds, I would rather the site was a premium pay site with some fee.

I am getting money from google, and that will keep me from getting money. I hope you can just tolerate the ads. Except for a few annoying universities, they are generally car ads, gun related, or car mufflers.

I'm fairly certain using Ad Block means Mr. Silvers gets no revenue from your traffic. (Source later, I've got to eat).

between adblocker and noscript I never have any idea what you guys are talking about when you mention ads

huge expanses of empty space filled with text is all I see unless I accidentally click on one of hemi's threads.
