Kel Tec 14 round dual magazine bull pump shoty?
Re: Kel Tec 14 round dual magazine bull pump shoty?
Has anyone heard anything about the bad trigger design that this gun supposedly has?

Supposedly when you pull the trigger the gun should go off but, it is a Kel-tec so that is doubtful.

Come on guys..... Really?Twinsen wrote:Sorry to back up "mil-spec", but if Kel Tec ever wanted to make something for a government agency, they'd have to do away with the screws.jdj wrote:+1, the guy is obviously a very innovative and talented engineer - the RFB is an amazing design with such short OAL and a decent bullpup trigger, but he must have learned his screw-together construction technique by working for a toy store or something - all of their rifles "feature" this design.Twinsen wrote:Why is it fucking screwed together? Stop that s--t already.
ETA: Still want one.
If they employed a military/tactical advisor/engineer and a injection molding specialist, these could be some spectacular products. Could you picture the RFB with a single piece injection molded shell and a mechanism to clear malfunctions? Awesome!
Also, I work with a guy that has two dual feed 870s. He does it himself. Says some PDs had him make some. So I guess it works and isn't completely new.
PS90... Ever heard of that screwed together plastic gun? Majority of all bolt action rifles are held together by just 2 screws(receiver to stock).
Until you actually know a little about it and have tested it there is no point in talking bad about it.
Also, Kel-tec put out a video on the trigger fix and the new improvements.

I sorta want to argue with you. But I'm pretty sure you got me.
Also, glad to hear they fixed the trigger.

In a lot of the videos it looks like people have trouble cycling it. It's just not as smooth or quick as a typical pump SG. Notice how your support hand is farther forward with the 870 in the pic above. Maybe it's just a bad collection of videos.

In the Mossy BP SGs I have handled this did not seem like a problem the balance and weight feel natural with the support hand close. But, maybe as far as cycling the action midgets have an antrhoprometric advantage.stevejobs wrote: Notice how your support hand is farther forward with the 870 in the pic above.

Smoothing up an action is something I'd have no problem doing on a shotgun, if I liked it. Deburr, polish, lube. It may be possible that the plastic they use can flex and as you squeeze you create friction. I do not know.stevejobs wrote:In a lot of the videos it looks like people have trouble cycling it.
