As most of you are aware, in order to get KAC MP5SD cans built, one dealer must place a prepaid order of 50 MP5SD cans. I am working on being that dealer. Pricing on these is going to be $1695.00 each. 100% prepayment on the front end will be required. CC Fee is 3% and I can accept Visa, MC, or Discover.

I'd also like to see 40cal SD cans...maybe someday if this turns out good.

I own a RDTS MP5 SD and the thread pitch is different than a factory gun, I would be in for one if this is not a problem

^ I am in the same boat as dane.

I don't forsee KAC doing anything different than the factory threads due to logistics. I really hope to see this group buy take off this time and with Cliff I think it will!

I haven't heard from many of those from the last group buy....maybe 9 or 10. Not sure where they are.....

That is what I was looking into doing a couple days ago.

1. Find an MP5SD kit and an MP5 receiver or flat. Send it to an HK builder.

2. Or get one of these kits:

and one of RCM's MP5SD barrels:

and send it off to an HK builder and have them convert/manufacture the necessary "SD" parts. You'd also need to find an MP5SD handgaurd/shroud.

3. Find a clone ie Vector, Coharie, Special Weapons etc. and make sure they used factory thread specs.

4. Send off a MP5 clone or HK94 and have it converted to an SD using various parts.

The problem with the 3rd option is that all of the clones came with a can. So you just have to eat the silencer.

I think that is about the only ways to get one.

Did I miss any other options?

Whoa!!! That's almost the price of the actual HK MP5 build kits...
The last group buy price was stated at $975 each, any idea as to why the huge jump in price now?
