HALO or G5

Post by jcsparky »

I'm Undecided.. NEW HALO or NEW G5.
I have the older version halo.. and luv it..
but looks like th e G5 is quieter and lighter..??

These will be interchanged with several rifles..

Thoughts.>?

I went the G5 route because I want to be able to move it between rifles with ease.....

Go for the HALO. The benefit is the ease with which you can swap hosts, if you're going with a QD can I would consider other cans instead of a G5. If I didn't have the can and all the mounts I need, a HALO would be high up on my list of considerations.

I almost went with the G5 but changed my mind after reading various reviews. Having said that I have no personal experience with that suppressor. Just got a lot of bad press and a lot of people urging me to steer clear. I have heared the HALO is nice, but that it tends to loosen up. However a friend bought one, a new one, and loves it.

I'd go G5; any can that causes their competition so much grief that they are forced to constantly berate it must be pretty good.

I have a few thousand rounds through mine without so much as a hiccup.
