Hopefully somebody can help me on this dilema. I have a Sterling 9mm carbine. It is a great gun and a blast to fire. I do have a problem with it though. When I use military ammo(the stuff in the plastic bag) It misfires. Inotherwords the firing pin strikes the primer but it doesn't go off. What is weird is that I can put the misfired ammo in my 92fs beretta and it fires fine.
It there something wrong with my gun or is it just finicky on ammo because it shoots the magtech rds fine. It just doesn't like the bulk military spec ammo. Any thoughts? thanks.

Harder primers on the military ammo. I'd double check your firing pin length/protrusion since that should be a pretty easy check, and if thats fine, check whatever springs for the firing pin your gun has, not sure if the sterling is fixed firing pin, or something else etc..
