51T Brakeout mount for 7.62 w/ 5/8x24, are they available??

Post by Eagle1* »

I am wanting to know if these new 51T Brakeout mounts are available for the 7.62 caliber (308) with the 5/8 x 24 thread patterns? This will be for the new Remington 700 AAC-SD rifle! I was lucky enough to locate one a couple of weeks ago and am wanting to get a 51T mount so when the SDN-6 arrive at dealers, I can already have my brake on. Please anyone that can help, Thanks..
In God we trust, all others are checked through NCIC!

yes, they are available, but Noveske ordered the whole batch. I would contact them, they should have them in stock. It will be a regularly-stocked item for us in the future.

Will they be available with the AR10/Larue OBR length 5/8x24 threads or only the current AR15 length? I'm having to use shims to cover the gap.

Most likely only with standard-length threads.

I also have to ask why the 5/8"-24 mounts aren't being made any more to the 0.750" thread depth since the AR-10/OBR/MWS/LAR-8 and maybe others are being made with threads way over 0.625", mostly 0.737" off the top of my head.

I really wish you guys would reconsider this or, at worst, make precision spacers available for sale. I got some from PWS, but I still don't know if they are good to go. I guess we'll see.
