Title pretty much says it. I found some dry graphite spray lube (Fabulous Blaster brand), it's rated for extreme temps and seems like it might be a good thing. Anyone using this or something similar? What kind of results are you seeing?
I found a bunch of references using search, but not really what I was after.

This isn't exactly what you mean, but I use Militec-1 which is designed to go on wet and cook dry with use. I use this on pretty much all my firearms, but the dirtiest is my AR-15 (CMMG custom upper, RRA lower, with slide-fire stock and YHM Phantom suppressor) and it has yet to malfunction.

I don't own a machinegun, but have been using the "Slide-fire" stock as of late. I've run a few magazines with simulated 3-round bursts and not had a malfunction so far. By the end of that range session I had to pour water over the suppressor for about 15 minutes before it was cool enough to be removed. I just got a 100 round drum in the mail I plan on doing a torture test with.
Crappy website, but this is the product I mentioned.

Been using it for the last 20 years. Mainly on semi pistol slides and frames.
First stuff I used was compliments of the US military for the pylons on aircraft. If stinger missles slide easier, at that speed and heat I thought why not.
It makes firearms cleanup a breeze, not much sticks to it. Being dry, less dust and crud sticks.
Just don't spray it on thick, 2 or 3 superlight coats are slick as hell.

You're talking about the dry graphite spray, or the Militec-1?driver6814 wrote:Been using it for the last 20 years.

What are you looking to gain with dry lube?
Re: Dry lube for subguns....anyone doing it?
Pretty much just keeping an open mind, but cleaner running and easier cleanup would always be nice.

I used it in the past on the interior of my Lage upper
for the M11/9. It didn't seem to make that much of a
difference in clean up to deal w/applying it. I had to
clean out the area regardless, so I just use CLP. I'm not
so sure of its lubricating properties for SMG's either.
I was using Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant if that matters.

Several parts of an AR come with moly dry lube, oil is still needed for good function. Keeping the gun wet with lube so the carbon doesn't cook onto the surface reduces cleaning time. I've used dry lube once on an AR with poor results, it felt and malfunctioned like a gun without enough lube.

Thanks for all the replies. It sounds good in theory, but I guess like with many things the ride never seems to be free.

I have tried dry lube on a MAC 10, Norrell .22 pack and AR's.
Didn't work well for me with much shorter times to malfunction.
All suppressed though.
