Wait for Octane or go with Tirant 9mm

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Wait for Octane or go with Tirant 9mm

Post by EEdave86 »

I am waiting on my first 3 cans(any freaking day now...) but I know i already want another 22 and 9mm can. I called dealer up last week and found out he had an element in stock, which was awesome so i told him to hold that for me. I also asked about tirant 9 and figured i would ask if he by any chance had an octane. He did have two tirant 9 in stock and I found out they had octanes on order and expected them around Dec/Jan. At this point im ecstatic cause i was wanting an octane, but i know the tirant is going to be awesome too.

The three cans i have waiting on are Evo 9, Tirant 45, and Prodigy(he carries AAC stuff :D if you cant tell). I would love to support other manufacturers as well and i think the octane is pretty BA. I dont see many comparisons about them though, i guess since its still a pretty new can. Im under the impression that the tirant 9 is 3-4 decibels quieter than anything else out there. How does the new octane stack up to this? Anyone have both? I could just go ahead and get the tirant and by Christmas i should have plenty saved up to get the octane too :D

It's at this moment, when you realize..... stamps is CRACK!

:)
If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

Here are the testing results from Major Malfunction http://www.silencerforum.com/reviews/in ... liber/9mm/

If you are going by the numbers I would say the TiRant for sure! If you are looking for a deal on one give me a call/pm/email! Our prices will not disappoint!

If you think you might want to put a 3-lug mount on it, go for the Octane. There doesn't seem to be much priority to get a Tirant 3-lug to market. If not, the Tirant is an awesome can.

I should pick up my Octane next week. :P I order before they where delivered.

Here the first test Octane test from Major, remember Many more tests needed to give consistent numbers since he just started testing cans and this is the lowest numbers posted. http://www.silencerforum.com/forum/show ... OUND-TEST!

I like to mix it up too. :D I go in for a Ti-rant and came out with a Octane because I save Tax stamp money on the deal. I also shoot the SWR Trident before and like that too but wanted a take apart can. Ti-rant no come with take down tool this year so you need to call AAC or buy one, Octane has built in tool.

Someone I know shot each and say the Ti-rant is the most quiet of them all then the Octane and Silencerco are very close behind (to his ear on his hosts and ammos). Can't go wrong with any of them! :P

Also, I have the Element as a pistol you can't beat the sound of it on pistols and it very small, CONSISTENT, and light for SS baffle can. Baffles clean easy in a sonic cleaner! :P

Hope this helps.

If you were wanting an Octane, then buy the Tirant. You might be using it by the the time the Octanes are in stock, and you can buy an Octane then. I predict you will end up with multiple 9mm cans anyway, so just do it. Might as well pick up another .22 can while you're at it....you need at least five of these. When you recover from these expenditures you can start on the rifle cans.

Tell you what Gary, Ill trade you one of your new cans for the patented baffless design of the ostrich, and the trademarked logo that is designed to look like it was done with a magic marker.
