I looked at it at the store today. I'm not a fan of the sights, grip safety, beveled barrel or the price but it was smaller than I thought it would be. I let the slides drop on it and P22 at the same time. The slide clap was significantly quieter on the Browning. I think they may have put an O-ring around the chamber. I wonder if they were thinking suppressor.
I'll enjoy seeing pictures of this suppressed.

If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

Was wondering when they were gona hit the streets. Time to go lookin!
Re: OK, who's going to thread a Browning 1911-22 Compact
I dont think it can be done. Looking at one a couple weeks ago the end of the barrel looks bell shaped. There is not a barrel bushing like a 1911 .45.
Cool little .22lr, but suppressed I dont see how.

The flared section of the barrel is shorter than most P22 adapters. Couldn't an adapter have a flared barrel portion?

What lines up the breach face? May make the muzzle taper irrelevent.

My Amigo has one. It be a lot of work and $$$ for what you get.
Maybe's if Sig made a threaded barrel.
Looks like they copy the Llama 22, nothing new.

I read a review that the flare didn`t realy do anything so putting a thread on there may work.strobro32 wrote:The flared section of the barrel is shorter than most P22 adapters. Couldn't an adapter have a flared barrel portion?
Re: OK, who's going to thread a Browning 1911-22 Compact
Is this actually made by browning or is it just like all the other 1911-22s out there?
Re: OK, who's going to thread a Browning 1911-22 Compact
From what I've read, Browning has no manufacturing. They outsource all manufacturing. I've read that Arms Technology Inc. on the east side of Salt Lake City makes all the Buckmark pistols as well as the Buckmark rifle and the 1911-22.

You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

Re: OK, who's going to thread a Browning 1911-22 Compact
I got one of the new black label compact threaded by ADCO.
They threaded it on the inside of the barrel for the adapter, so the older ones with the flare at the end shouldn't matter.
