New Tool For Ball Cutter

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Cool tool mine has no graduations on it.
The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

Hi,

Don’t know what Lava is using but what I have used to build “spherical like” Baffles is: For the convex side, the ball turning tool sold at LittleMachineShop.Com (the large one) and for the concave side, I use a custom made tool built in Brazil to fit into my joint geometry needs.

With these simple and cheap tools, I do 100% spheres with the concave space being empty and having a constant wall thickness. All Lathes, no Mill.

I have also made the same type of Baffles out of SS sheets, just folding it (molds, dies and press) and welding the final geometries. Mostly Lathe, some Mill (or drill press) and Welding.

That’s for Baffles. For MonoCores, it’s a lot better, stronger, easier and cheaper. Mostly Mill and some Lathe.

Best,

Paul

For that kind of jack......

That thing should blow 'ya every time you get it out of the box. Go to the projects section at home shop machinist and get the plans to make one. Materials cost about 10 bucks.

Liquid Rush: Do you have a link for those plans? I couldn't find them but I lost like two hours checking out the home made tools on the BBS, great reading!

Thank you for the detailed instructions that lays the ground work
for a most intriguing 'next project'. I have been using the
Little Machine Shop unit and it is OK.

From the comments above I realize that with the compound on the Atlas 618
I already have the beginnings of the rotation portion.

As usual the knowledge base of our brethren is unmatchable.

Your welcome I didnt make mine exact meaning I didnt use the gear box thats a bit overbuilt, However that is nice. I did use the handle method further down the instructions. was an easy build with plate steel I had laying around. I'm kind of set in my ways dont buy anything I can make myself. Save my money for firearms and the strip club girls LOL
