Re: Buyer beware of Advanced Armament/an ongoing experience
It's really too bad. The prices on some of their rifle cans are excellent; $550 for an 556SD or $615 for an M42K. With the M42K being such a well regarded classic performer it would be an excellent buy if all the company itself wasn't sucking so bad.

Re: solvent trap
I feel like this would not make a very effective suppressor, and the life span will be ridiculously short. These oil filters were never meant to handle the pressures generated by the discharge of a firearm, they can probably handle .22, but when you can get a .22lr can for $200 (+tax) that will las...

Re: anyone know if Alan Paulson is still planning on vol 3?
I'd love to see a Vol 3. I think breaking down the progression of modern silencers would be invaluable regardless of how obsolete it may become due to the internet. The GWOT has brought a lot to the history of military silencers and I'd personally love to see it cataloged.

Re: Surefire Mad Science Div: Something Wicked This Way Com
I don't understand why anyone would want a Surefire can when the 7.62 Saker becomes available for purchase. My assumption is that its a .30 can thats not overbuilt for .308 or even some of the magnum calibers to keep unnecessary weight and size down. If you're on AR15.COM youve seen the "looki...

Re: The first no blowback can?
If this has already been answered sorry... Could the reason the unit is supposed to self tighten be because the way the "turbine" configuration is in respect to the thread pattern? If the gas twists the unit in an opposite direction to the threads then wouldn't it keep it on? That's what ...

Re: AAC at SHOT
Lighter means more material removal is needed, which means more machining time. Time is money, more machining is more wear and tear on the machine and tooling. More machining on Inconel even more wear and tear on tooling. OR, lighter may be a feature set many will pay more for, so you charge more f...

I've always wondered why no one attempted to license the Ase Utra cans. Seems like licensing a mature design from an established company would benefit both parties.

If your looking for the quietest keep looking . Great can just a little louder than others that cost hundreds less. I'm not. The -212 is the type of can I've been wanting to buy. A good compromise of signature suppression and weight/size. I've played with various AAC and Gemtech cans, along with a ...

Db reduction of SF FA556-212?
I've seen the published db levels of the SF can, but they don't advertise a reduction level like most suppressor companies. For reference I'm trying to find the db reduction numbers for straight comparison.

Seeing as all the legalize has been hashed out, on a technical note, the Sig 516 is shipped with a semi-auto bolt carrier on semi-auto guns.

Re: Eliminating "ring" from Blackout mount
I don't personally have a blackout. However, I was putting a couple Ks of ammo through a rifle with one on it, and as soon as I noticed the ring it bugged the living daylights out of me.
I always though "it can't be that bad", but the constant ringing messes with my head.

Re: Why isn't Class 3 more popular?
I don't own any NFA (YET) because: -$200 saved towards the stamp in question is quite a bit of savings for me, and I get impatient and spend that same money on something more tangible like a weaponlight. -The wait sucks, as does having to go deal with the local CLEO who I don't know (which may mean ...

I was at the show and saw this can and thought it was a really unique and cool design but I still don't get why it would help anybody. I tend to have a can in each caliber and have a hard time justifying getting a second. The Silencerco guy said that the extra adapters were $300 each. That to me se...

I think I will have us make a limited edition silencertalk super spiked front cap called the "Zombie Asshat" :D I like the FH end. However, the SHOT videos said the spikes around the edge were decorative. Get rid of them unless there's a real reason. It will look cleaner and more function...

So, I'm reading that right now they're wanting to put out adapters for 51T, "Y", Silencercos "Trifecta", and a thread on. Should I assume 18T, A2 (including BC 2.0 and the KAC mounts), KAC MAMS, and Surefire will be coming out? Seems like a pretty slick setup, basically the multi...

I get the hate for spikes on a can. As for the 3-prong flash hiders on the end of cans, I'm not sure why you guys are hating on that. SilencerCo isn't the only one doing this. Knights announced their new line of cans a few months ago which feature a 3-prong FH on them. http://www.knightarmco.com/blo...

Lasermax is the only one available right now.
Keep your eyes open during SHOT. I keep getting emoticon winks from Vic at TNVC whenever the subject of LDI pistol lasers come up on ARF.
