Re: What we should do about the riots
This debate isn't about whether or not Floyd and Chauvin had history. It's also not about whether or not Floyd was on drugs. It's also not about whether or not the police are good people or bad people because the simple fact is that the legal system the police are employed to enforce is tyrannical a...

What we should do about the riots
It's been a long time since I visited this forum. Life got in the way and stuff, just fell by the wayside. Not sure if I still have any friends here or not, but I wanted to pop by and see what people were saying about the riots. Looks like a fair bit of differing opinions, which is to be expected, b...

Re: Which do you prefer, URX-II or URX-III?
I tend to dislike anything KAC based solely on their exorbitant prices, (they make fantastic stuff, don't get me wrong,) but if I had to chose one it would be the URX III, and as was previously mentioned in a length significantly more substantial than that. I also prefer no rails/as few rails as pos...

Re: Any efforts to do away with this NFA stupidity?
A member over on NFATalk posited this idea, which I think is the most sound one I've heard yet; sell it as a voluntary tax increase. A BILL To amend the title 18, United States Code to provide for increased revenue by removing limits on taxation provided for in 18, United States Code Chapter 53. Be ...

Re: What guns do you own, and why?
I look at this completely different than you. I strive for redundancy... I subscribe to the theory that "one is none two is one". Exactly. Granted, every gun in my safe has a specific purpose with maybe one or two exceptions, (old C&R rifles exempted, that's just my collection,) but i...

Re: What are the principle uses of a gun?
As someone who has never shot past 500 yards, and (though I would love to,) places priorities on other kinds of shooting, I can eliminate long range target shooting from my list of needs. From a purely functional/pragmatic point of view, there is only one use for a firearm; to keep the user alive. T...

I'm more worried about the fact that they seem to be collecting a fully self-sufficient, vertically integrated corporate military industrial complex, from financing through supply and logistics all the way down to actual troops.

I don't blame one for spending money to get quality, but you could have gotten a nearly identical setup cheaper. I spent about that muchon my LWRC, but I had learned my lesson by the time I started my next build. My Noveske is easily a $3000 rifle but I've got less than 1900 in it right now.

Robert has a high tolerance for trolling and general douchebaggery, but not attacks on law enforcement. I think Lenny's frequent attacks on law enforcement and the legal system contributed to his demise. Beyond that, it's not like he added any value so banning him was probably an easy decision. Tha...

This song is best recited while drinking pink champagne on ice and accompanying ones self with a maraca made from a YHM Phantom and a .30 caliber bullet... "Hotel NFA Branch" In a dark desert man cave Lithium grease in my hair The warm smell of Hoppe's No. 9 Rising up through the air On th...

I know you said you want something you can just buy with little to no serious modification, but I would LOVE to see someone make a VSS out of available parts. I feel like a Romak-3 receiver with a .338 Spectre barrel would be a GREAT place to start. It wouldn't be easy, but it's gotta be possible. A...

I really hope he gets arrested for something non-firearms related where he's totally in the wrong, like attempted vehicular manslaughter or something. That would make my day. Also all about pushing limits here, but you gotta do it in a way that nets results. He's just selfish and it's hurting the re...

I have a PVS-2 NV scope I bought years ago that I never use, hoping I can get a couple stamps out of it. It's Gen I, 4x magnified, about as clear as you can expect Gen I stuff to be. It takes 4 AA batteries, comes with an A2 style carry handle mount (RIS mounts are available through OpticsPlanet and...

Certainly you dont feel every household should possess a box of C-4, a few automatic weapons and an artilley piece. As a matter of fact I absolutely, unequivocally do. Re: Secret of AAC's Element? Dater's Hole?
Isn't FRP more a function of the size of the blast chamber? The idea is to reduce the amount of O2 in there. My understanding is it's somewhat less to do with the type of baffles or core than it is the blast chamber size. Make that first chamber too large and you'll get pop. Reduce the size of the ...

^^^ good info rep inbound, oh wait, wrong site.. LOL! Basically everything John said. One other consideration, the TiRant .45 piston is different from the TiRant 9mm piston, so if you wanna have that interchangibility you'd be better off with the Osprey - one common piston all around. Not important...

Aimpoint M4, correct mount/spacer for cowitness?
So I have my Comp M4 on my M6A3 and with the stock mount and stock spacer it provides a lower 1/3 cowitness. I want absolute, but if I remove the spacer it's like upper 1/3. I'm probably going to go to a throw lever mount anyway, so that in mind what should I look at for a mount/spacer combo? I've l...
