Re: getting SBR engraved.

It only took off the anodizing. It looks great but its not going to pass. I had him put it above the firing pin 1/16 so its small. I found a local shop that will do it and does it for all the gun shops around and will do it for 65 and has the class lisc. to hold the receiver. Its a 3 day turn aroun...

Re: Socom 556 acceptable sound reduction?

I shot 30 rounds last weekend through one on a 10.5" 5.56. It was louder than I expected. I thought it sounded a little quieter than a .22 from a rifle. My ears did not ring but I put my ear muffs back on. It did not have the noise and concussion the gun has w/o the suppressor. It was more plea...

Re: socom can and 300blk....anyone shot it?

I've shot mine with the FA762SS. Accuracy was surprisingly good at 100 yards with off-the-shelf ammo, with the 220 SMK going 1.2": http://photos.imageevent.com/mstn/suppressedonlyuppers/huge/IMG_1806.JPG http://photos.imageevent.com/mstn/suppressedonlyuppers/huge/IMG_1804.JPG As far as sound r...

SOCOM Flash Hiders/Suppressor Adapters Rockset or Red Loctite?

I have several SOCOM FLASH HIDERS / SUPPRESSOR ADAPTERS. I brought them to my local gun shop who just became a Class 3 dealer. They put the SF3P on three guns for me. Two are 5.56 uppers http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab160/usmcvet0331/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsk85ulym4.jpg http://i859.photobuck...

Re: Are Bazookas prohibited?

Aren't Flamethrowers limited by volume of fuel? When we burn our fields for the coming yr, we use propane torches. But I think that there is an upper limit as to the volume that can be used w/o needing a License. Maybe 5 USGal? Not sure though. Ran across this today, touted as the world's first com...

Did you discontinue the 9" length? I don't see them offered.

Re: Concealed Carry. Why bother?

I don't carry off duty to deter crime. I carry off duty to protect my loved ones and myself. Period. I'm not trying to make a statement. I'm just minding my own damn business. I have carried on duty as a police officer for more than 23 years. All but the first few months were in a holster with weapo...

Re: Concealed Carry. Why bother?

I agree. I don't want people to know I'm carrying until I decide I need to use my gun. The element of surprise should not be under estimated. The bad guy should know when it is too late to do anything. Let me pose this situation: A person, intending to do harm, walks into a business, you are also i...

Re: suppressors now legal in Vermont

So what do you do 2 years later? Throw them in the safe, and look back at all the fun you used to have? Owners should be protected by the Grandfather Clause, just like people who manufactured machine guns prior to '81 or whenever that was. This was my question too. I believe the law will be extende...

Re: Concealed Carry. Why bother?

I'm an advocate for the CHOICE of open carry, but personally I prefer to carry well concealed. My primary carry is a M&P Shield in a hybrid IWB holster. I open carry hunting (legal), and I would open carry on my own property given the option (comfort), but out in public, I'd prefer that the onl...

Re: Concealed Carry. Why bother?

Personally, I don't like people knowing I have a gun. Then there's the conversation piece aspect. Inevitably someone will want to talk to you about guns politics or whatever. I don't like talking to people. This is why I avoid wearing shirts with clever sayings or funny pictures. I don't want to ta...

I was under the impression that you had to go to the CLEO of your county of residence. Is that not the case? Either way, I have read that Fulton county is not nice to work with regarding firearms. (GWCL, specifically). Have you checked in at http://www.Georgiapacking.org ? There is a lot of good in...

Re: Scouts - voted to keep homosexuals form being leaders. D

My argument has always been, "Why can't I be a girl scout leader?" There are gays in the BSA. Well hidden ones but they are there and they ARE pedophiles. IMHO a GAY man out camping with young boys is a pedophile incident waiting to happen. That is ridiculous. The Same logic says that if ...
