Re: 2 mile shooting -3500 yards.
Paul good to hear from you. So you got your 375- awesome. You need to shoot me some pictures of that. Your 375 should do 3500 better than my 408. We do need to get together. Jimmy It was not my rifle, I'm still working on mine. First round fell through gunsmith went broke, but it's still coming. Paul

Re: 2 mile shooting -3500 yards.
Howdy Jimmy long time no talk, WOW I made 2700 yards and thought that was the outer limits of my abillities but now I will have to re-think. I am shooting a custom 375-408 CT and am sure it will make it out to 3500 yards but didn't dare to try due to the guess factors of those kind of distances. Dud...

Re: Accuracy with the Tirant and Osprey
Thanks John, that's a very good perception on your part. I do agree with you on both counts, blow back was one of my first lessons that no one ever mentioned. And boy how I hate it, it's bad mo-jo. And accuracy is always important to me, so I shall await your out come. Thanks for your time, The only...

Re: Faster twist = more pressure?
Got ya, just did some reading on this. Seems like the reason the 50 is 1 and 15 is because it just seems to work the best with all bullets available. I agree with you, the twist rate should equal the bullet type. The pressure should not be the determining factor, as it would be so little it would no...

Re: Faster twist = more pressure?
Well you know I can't really say, sounds like I need to do a little more research. But I thought that I had read somewhere that the 50 had to be 1 in 15 twist. Do you know of any info that might show a different twist is available or can be. Sorry for the dumb question, it's just that if it can be b...

Accuracy with the Tirant and Osprey
Has anyone tested for accuracy (meaning groups) on the Tirant and Osprey, I am fairly sure that the Tirant had no ill affect on accuracy but how was the Osprey.
Thanks for any help,

Re: Faster twist = more pressure?
Just one question, I have always wondered why the 50 BMG had to be 1 in 15 twist. I know I'm talking extremes but is it possible to speed up the twist in a 50 or does it cause to much pressure in the chamber.

I think barrel makers have to pretend it matters as it further shows they are neurotic. Noveske is extra cool for speaking the truth. I do it just so I know it was done if I sell it to someone who cares. I once sold a $5000 rifle that I put 20 shots through it, and the buyer wants to know if I clea...

People buy Fleshlights too when you can just jerk your own cock and spill your seed just the same. Problem is once you have bought a Fleshlight, you have to justify the expense to yourself. I wonder if you could use shorter bolts in your rig, Redtazdog. You'd only have one shot but that would surprise the F--k out of a mugger or home invader, less lethal than shooting with a bullet, too, I'd imagine. The psychological shock of being struck with an arrow would probably end any confront...
