Re: Mitigating/eliminating blowback w/5.56mm can
AR gas vent is one of the most effective mods I have found to reduce blowback.

Re: dead air mask .22 (anything else better?)
aac element2 is one of the few with zero FRP and extremely quiet overall. i have evaluted dozens of 22lr suppressors.
i also appreciate the SS baffles so I can use the dip.

don't underestimate the importance of frp. i've compared the element II to a lot of rimfires and it's one of the few that has basically ZERO frp. it is also extremely quiet overall.

went to see them in person and tried them out. the technology works, they do what they say they do. almost no backpressure, quite neat. they are truly a marvel of cnc, fantastically complex and beautifully machined. however i primarily use my suppressors on bolt action rifles, so there's absolutely ...

4473 required for trust to trust transfer within WA?
Is a 4473 required for a trust to trust transfer within WA? Basically a private silencer transfer within WA. ATF form 4 of course, but is the 4473 required on top of that?
The RCW are unclear but it appears silencers may not be considered firearms under WA state law.

Re: Optimum muzzle velocity for subs?
The bullet is also rather unstable in the trans-sonic stage. Accuracy is not so good. The 1050 goal is a bit dated. Most now shoot for 1010. this is dependent on bullet design. there are bullets which are specifically designed to be 100% stable through transonic range. Cool, which ones are those? I...

Re: Is the Sparrow still the best?
we did a side by side test of various suppressors at a range a while back.
sparrow had _significant_ FRP and louder than all other cans overall.
the best was aac element 2. zero FRP and very quiet overall.

yep no reason not to go with a 30 cal can. works just fine on 223 and you have the flexibility of 308win/300blk/etc.

my element is dead easy to clean. drop baffles in beaker of vinegar and put it in the ultrasonic. baffles come out looking factory new.

Re: Anyone compared a 7" vs. a 9" can on a 300BLK?
i imagine you are losing some internal volume due to the brake attach of the 30BAS.
i fire sub 300blk through a silencerco osprey 45acp and an htg predator. the predator is a bit quieter, sounds about as loud as a nailgun.

Re: AAC poor customer support
It's going to cost you $60 for the part just about anywhere, I fail to see where AAC is responsible for giving you a part that they no longer make, that you lost. That one's on you, just buy a new tool and 550 cord it to something big so you don't lose it again and be done with it. if you actually ...

Re: AAC poor customer support RESOLVED
Wait, so AAC didn't have a cheaper way to fix the problem you created, and it is somehow their fault? they did have a cheaper way, they just refused to. the brass bushing is like a drill bit. instead of letting him buy a $2 bit, he was told he had to buy a $60 electric drill and they would in...

run them too fast and yes, the plating shreds off inside the barrel. looks like birdshot on the target.
keep them under 1200fps and you should be fine.
