How do you decide what baffle for your new form 1 build?
Does say a 308 win work best with k baffles and 22 cals work with m baffles.

Re: What is this stuff coming out of my suppressor?

more than likely it is white lithium grease the maker coated the baffles with before shipping to prevent corrosion. The oil is combining with the grease making it return to a liquid state and gravity is causing it to ooze out bottom hole. wd-40 is no very good at rust prevention use something else l...

Re: Laughable New supressor design.

Good call on the whee! might be able to rig the gases to start a propeller spinning to fly a Recon model plane / drone off of my 2x-100x scope for deer movement post shot. For those who have multiple bonus deer tags.

Loud duck call huh. Might be a good elephant call. Deer would stop and be like wtf.

Re: Options post threaded barrel ban

Has to be easy to manufacture. Or were back at square one. Time will tell and so will lawyers whether the gun companies are willing to test the ban or not. Commercial acceptance of a easy design is crucial. I feel bad for the new upstart companies making AR parts. The gun was really coming into its ...

Re: Options post threaded barrel ban

could you do a series of grooves then have a quick clamp system into those grooves. kinda like the quick attach suppressors today. technically not a threaded barrel just a grooved one.

Laughable New supressor design.

Has anyone tried a can with moving parts like propellers that would swirl and slow gas down. Or better yet would be funneled through into a deer call so when I miss the deer will not run away but be drawn to me? Sorry about the odd post just trying to lighten the mood in these nervous and stressful ...

Options post threaded barrel ban

Could you do a groove for a c snap ring type attachment. Technically not a threaded barrel but groove would have to be cut. Any other ways around it beside integral.

Threaded barrel Ban would cut way back on suppressor log jam.

Re: Cerberus to sell Freedom Group after school shootings

They would be quite stupid to sell now but the process of finding a multi billions doller buyer may take a while. But the ar market is skyrocketing right now so they are going to be hard pressed to find a buyer after the ban goes into effect. They will be hung with the company and it probably will n...

Anyone have pics of a short suppressor for a .22lr.
I would say 4 inch overall.
Do you have internal pics of how they would work the same as a full size 6 inch or longer suppressor.
Do you give up something by going shorter?

Re: The ultimate material for longest lasting suppressor.

As a machinist I am just a little concered with aluminum for this application. If it was 7075 I would be alright with it but you never can tell. If used it would be a lighter material. I am mainly asking so I don't get taken by the local suppressor manufacturer when I upgrade to a larger caliber. Th...

Re: The ultimate material for longest lasting suppressor.

I understand your point and I think it is not only about the erosion of the metal by the gases but also the ability for the can to stay aligned. I would be a little hesitant to buy an aluminum tube just in case of a drop for example it might bend or ding a crucial area. But the biggest cause of supp...
