Will a lighter silencer help drop?
I've been running a Dead Air Sandman-S for years on various guns and have noticed mild drop with the can. But then I put it on a Steyr AUG and it was massive. So I'm wondering if swapping to a lighter can, dead air claims 17.7oz (I assume without the muzzle device) and Griffin Dual-lok 7 is 12.6oz (...

FR8 and 15x1 metric
Hey so I got an FR8 and this is my first 15x1 or metric at all. It has .425 of an inch of threads from muzzle to the "shoulder". How much threads do I need for a flash hider, specifically a Dead Air one for my Sandman. I understand it indexes off the muzzle not the shoulder of the threads ...

9x39mm Wolf
So curious, especially looking to hear from an employee of Silencerco. Will my Octane 9 work with Wolf's new 9x39? I believe I can run 300 black subsonics and wolf rounds are to be subs so?

Can't clean Octane 9
So I have been running the 3 lug mount and I havent been able to install the booster due to excessive carbon buildup inside the birdcage. I havent minded because I just kept using it on 3 lug but now I sold that gun and want to run pistols again. I can't however get the carbon out. I can't soak the ...

Removing an SBR from the scope of the NFA
I want to sell an MP5 clone that is an SBR. It would be alot easier to sell as a pistol so I have been trying to determine if I can just put a pistol end cap on it and it won't be an SBR anymore. I think I finally found the info that confirms this but I want opinions. This is section 2.5 of Chapter ...

Re: Subsonic
I am still here, haha. I love how forums do this. I ordered Remington UMC 147gr, 500 rounds of it. I am going to go test it in the Beretta 92FS and the MP5 this week and I will let you know. I am not going to buy a chrono, I can easily hear with my ears if a round is sub or super sonic. I also proba...

Subsonic
Which factory loaded subsonics will stay quiet in a carbine. I have an MP5 with a 9 inch barrel and want to get rounds that stay quiet in that. I was looking at ordering a case of American Eagle 124g subsonic, will those work out? My other options right now are Speer Lawman 147 grain TMJ Subsonic, 1...

Trust questions
Sorry guys but the hard I search the more sites I find that say they can help but ask for money. I made my own gun trust and it was approved. I am sure it is solid. My problem is I am not sure how to change things. I want to leave the whole thing alone, I am assuming the main body has to stay the sa...

Re: 3 Lug
Its an SWR Octane 9 HD, I just watched a youtube video where a guy did this exact same thing but he switched to a lower power recoil spring. So I guess that kinda answers my own question.

3 Lug
So I have been running my silencer on my MP5 with the 3 lug system. Now the inside of the booster area is caked with carbon and its a pain in the butt to clean out. So I was thinking to put a 3 Lug adapter on the 1/2x28 threaded barrel on my pistol so that I don't have to use the booster at all. I d...

Octane Issues
So I was shooting my octane with a 3 lug on my MP5 and wanted to take it off and go back to a threaded for my pistol. I let it cool for a minute and then tried to unscrew the 3 lug. Well it was really tight and the metal birdcage insert started to unscrew with the 3 lug. I screwed that back into the...

Re: 3 Lug problems
Thank you very much but I already resolved it. Your 3 lug is actually great! The barrel was off. I took it back to my dealer who sold the mp5 to me and we pulled the barrel and lathed it to spec. He was incredibly nice and did this for free.

3 Lug problems
So I just received my 3 lug adapter for my Octane 9 and it doesn't fit on my MP5 barrel. It is a standard barrel without threads. It goes on about a quarter inch and depresses the plunger but only goes back about as far as where the lugs start. Then I have to wrench it off and the paint on the tip o...

Re: Schedule A
From what I sorta understand now a Schedule A is Trust property with a title, such as the SBR with the form 4 as title, the Assignment Sheet is for things without a title of ownership such as the dollar bills I have in there. And if your are applying for an NFA weapon you don't list it until form 4 ...

Re: Schedule A
Ahh then could you tell me what they are supposed to look like, how they are normally worded? I guess that makes sense as the assignment page has the bit about me giving title and interest to me the trustee. So that's blank now that nothing is pending? Then what about the schedule a because mine say...

Re: Schedule A
Hmm that's what I've heard, but I submitted without the SBR on either. I am pretty sure the trust only talks about a schedule A so then that's all I need in there?

Re: Schedule A
Or rather is it appropriate to have 2 separate pages for Schedule A and Assignment of Property. I have seen a sample trust that its both in one. I am not sure how exactly this part of the trust needs to be worded.
