Quick attachments for silencers - Is it worth it?
Hi all, I did look for this, so forgive me if it has been asked before. It seems somewhat neat for specialized purposes. But, for general use, I doubt I would feel very trusting of the attachment. Although there might be 1% need for such in a self-defense situation. Say you are in line at a bank and...

Osprey 45 vs Osprey K 45
I am waiting on a .22 and 5.7 Axiom silencer. Now, I am looking for a 'one for all' pistol silencer. I'm thinking that the Osprey would be a good choice. What I can't decide about is which model would be best. I know that the Osprey 45 is quieter and the Osprey K 45 is louder as it is shorter. Has a...

Re: Greetings! Gummy ammunition - will it be a negative or positive?
The stuff on the RWS ammo is a beeswax lube, compared to most other manufacturers RWS uses quite a bit more than is needed. generally speaking most Hi-vel .22 ammo is subsonic in a pistol (with a barrel length less than 5.5 in. in length). having said that, it is hit or miss weather or not your par...

Re: Greetings! Gummy ammunition - will it be a negative or positive?
In a pistol you don't need sub sonic ammo, and it probably won't cycle reliably. Just get standard velocity ammo. I thank you for replying as you were the only one. On the other forums, that I'm a regular on, I ALWAYS welcome new members. It seems things are different here. Besides that, what you a...

What machining equipment is required? And your recommendations, pls
I'm always looking for an excuse to buy new tools, so besides a lathe, what else is needed? Any lathe recommendations would be appreciated. A can on order, has titanium baffles. Does titanium require diamond cutting heads? Where does one purchase titanium? Or, is there a better option? Many thanks. ...

Greetings! Gummy ammunition - will it be a negative or positive?
Hi all! I am new here and I hope to learn from you all, but more importantly, to make some friends. I am learning quite a bit via this forum, Google and two silencer books. One of which is Alan C. Paulson's "Silencer History and Performance" Volume One. (A HUGE book!) The other is: "W...

Re: Silencer FAQ (work-in-progress)
A very nice and almost complete write-up! First, as a newbie here, hello to everyone! I hope to get to know you all and to make friends here. The one thing that I didn't see was the corporation route. I already had a LLC as I sell on the internet and to retail stores. No suppressors for sale yet, bu...
