Re: Pistol brace rule form1 question
As I understand it, the "pursuant to..." is because of the tax forbearance aspect of the application. Once your form is approved, it is "approved", and you are free to do anything you want to your registered SBR. Disclaimer - I'm neither a lawyer nor an ATF employee/agent, and I ...

Re: Obsidian 45 on 10/22?
A couple of things before the recommendation on thread adapters. 1) If you bought it new, then the can should have come with a booster assembly and piston for the standard 45 ACP (.578"x28tpi). However, you don't need a booster for a 10/22 (the Nielsen Device is only used to enable a moving bar...

BWS Arms - welcome to the forum! I think you need to get beyond the "New Member" status (IIRC, it takes 5 or 10 posts) to be able to post pictures. You can try and PM me with a pic, and I'll be happy to post on your behalf. (I'm VERY interested as an avid 458 SOCOM shooter - though I'm an ...

Re: Tube materials for rifle-caliber monocore
Enfield577 - This definitely helps. Especially considering I'm still prototyping - it looks like I'm not thinking completely unreasonably! Don't know if this helps and its not a monocore but I have a good quality can here for 308, made from an Aluminium alloy (cant find what), this is the blast cham...

Tube materials for rifle-caliber monocore
I'm working on a new silencer design and considering a monocore construction in 17-4 PH stainless (I know, a little old-school, but there are some reasons that we can all discuss in a future thread). As I finish up my design drawings, I'm hoping for some expert opinions on tube materials. Size: ~1.5...

That's good news.

Bummer - kinda makes sense given the sealed nature and complexity of HUXWRX designs / construction... sorry I couldn't help more.

Re: 8.6 Blackout
Yep I tried opening out the bore, was 0.040" clear, went to 0.060", helped very slightly, strangely we also had some other weird results, we switched to another gun and get straight strings of shots around 3 1/2" long....my can giving vertical string and a B&T can giving horizont...

Re: .300BO Keyholing With Different Sized Cans
Interesting - from what I understand, you seem to have no issues with keyholing when firing the .308? If so, it sounds like you are right on mount concentricity, and the variance is highlighting a degree of additional instability in your 300 BLK. That could be related to twist rate or barrel length,...

Re: Who Runs The HUB System?
Yep - I'm following. Can't personally answer as that is one of the systems of which I own NONE! But, I think if you contact ECCO, you'll get some straight answers and recommendations if you share what you have "in stock" and what you are trying to connect that you can't currently.

Re: Who Runs The HUB System?
I recommend taking a look at ECCO Machine - they produce replacement / add-on booster assemblies, and have a good description about what each of the most common "standards" will fit. Here is a link:

Re: 45 ACP
Was just in the shop checking some other dimensions, so pulled the can apart. End cap - 0.505" All baffles - 0.502" Clip - 0.25" wide, 0.28" "deep" (to bottom of radius left by bore) Also, FWIW - appears to be vertically bored (as opposed to the angles favored by many F...

Re: 8.6 Blackout
That grouping makes no sense - even if the bullets lack concentricity.
Have you chrono'd the rounds?
What results do you get shooting the same bullets/loads in an unsuppressed gun? or removing the suppressor from that one?
How does it manage "factory loads"?

Re: Under 1100fps with bulk High Velocity 22LR?
Just to add another bit of experience - my 4.4" bbl 22/45 gives a really nice sonic crack fairly often when shooting "standard" 1125 fps through my SiCo Switchback shooting at 55 degrees... So if you want to keep that from happening, probably need different ammo. Remember barrel lengt...

Re: 45 ACP
In looking at my commercially acquired can, single - but VERY DEEP - clip on somewhat progressive radial-and-stepped-cones, that are intended to be concentrically aligned. And when I say very deep, looks like around 0.4" - if you'd like more detail on it, I can put the calipers to it; just let ...

Re: 22 rimfire- Omega vs Cones vs K's
I thought I'd add my $0.04 (2 * 2 cents, as you'll see). I currently have two very different 22 cans - a Gemtech MIST-22TD and a SiCo Switchback. Bought with the intent of comparing / contrasting (additionally - I also have used the Switchback on the original 10/22 16" SS barrel). After hundred...

Re: Thinking about #2 already...
It seems (from this topic: https://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1922) that it's already been done in the 45 ACP version (here's a link to a video made by SiCo: https://www.facebook.com/px4stormfanpage/videos/beretta-px4-storm-silencer/556655894498843/). TL;DR - it got a little loose / ...
