Re: New suppressor from Dead Air announced today!
I would definitely get one of these. I hope they come to market sooner rather than later. I know they are trying to crank out the Ghost so I doubt we will see this one in the next few months.

Re: Rugged Obsidian 45
Yeap I'm with you. I have 4 - 45 suppressors and they all use Silencerco Pistons so for my to invest in this Rugged suppressor and be able to use all my existing Pistons is a big deal for me. I'm very happy that they designed it to be compatible

Not challenging you, just want to read it for myself.
I asked and Rugged answered on their Facebook account. They also stated it in a AR15 thread.

Re: All SS sealed can, and "the dip"?
I read it as he wants to start using it for rimfire but hasn't yet. I am not sure if blasting .223 through it would clean it out for you but I would think the dip or a ultra sonic cleaner would. Not 100% though as I have no experience with rimfire through sealed can.

Re: Rugged Obsidian 45
I had to jump on this one and get a form 4 going. I really have been wanting to try a Rugged Surge 7.62 but because I have mounts on all my rifles already, I have abstained. But the fact that this pistol can has the ability to use Silencerco pistons sealed the deal for me. I already have a "mod...

Re: First timer questions
I would look at the Griffin Armament Optimus or the new Silencerco Hybrid. I personally have stayed clear of the Liberty MisticX due to the ridiculous pricing of their pistons, mounts, etc.

Re: Having a gunsmith thread the barrel?
The part about wanting the silencer there sounds weird to me. That would be the reason I wouldn't use them, not he cheap price. My guy only charges $50 and often has overnight turn around time. He uses a lathe and does them on a daily basis. Of the 3 I have had done and 2 my coworker has had done, a...

Re: 9mm SBR host help needed
I had the same debate and after watching a side by side review of the Scorpion and MPX on the Military Arms Channel, I went with the Scorpion. I SBRed it and suppressed it and it's one of my favorite hosts.

Re: Trying to decide which to buy
I have many of the guns on your list and I like them all. I really consider myself a bullpup guy. They are the focus of my collection but IMO the Scorpion is the best choice to SBR and suppress. 9mm is cheap and suppressed sounds really good. I still haven't submitted my form 1 on my PS90 but I can'...

Re: Ripped off by SOT/FFL?'s
What a nightmare. I went threw a fiasco on my first couple can purchases but nothing like this. I am so thankful I found the dealer I now use (THSF). It makes buying NFA stuff SO easy!! After all the hounding you went through the guy can't even get a proper form 3 submitted. That's ridiculous!!

You can use the Silencerco pistons in the Griffin Armament cans but not vice versa. The GA pistons will not work in Silencerco cans.

Re: Sig 522 SBR Questions
I was just going to have my barrel cut down and retreaded by a local gunsmith. I have a barrel nut converter that will allow me to use any AR free floating handguard so I am really all set. I just wanted to see some that are already done for inspiration. I need to get my form 1 submitted

Re: Omega or Ultra 7
Id go the Omega route as your Specwar already takes ASR brakes and flash hiders. As you mentioned the Omega can be used on all of your current QD rifles and vice versa. The you still have the direct thread mount for guns you don't want to put the QD device on. I feel it offers the best of both world...

Re: Recommend me a K length pistol suppressor.
If you have no plans of using Revolution in full size then I think a dedicated K can is the way to go and the Octane 45 K is that can.

Re: Recommend me a K length pistol suppressor.
I have a Griffin Armament Revolution 45 pending which can be configured in either full size or the K configuration but I hear that changing the configuration from one to the other is less than ideal, so yesterday I purchased a Silencerco Octane 45K which I have contemplated on many occasions. I will...

Re: Hello
Hey, welcome to the forum. Remember, once you build your Form 1 can you cannot "re-do" it other than very minor tweaking of the existing baffle package I have never made a form 1 can but I was under the impression that this was one of the major benefits of a form 1. Meaning that you can s...

Re: Dead Air Sandman-L vs Rugged Surge??
Thanks Joshua. I think your description of tone is awesome and I get what your saying. I guess that is what it comes down to.. A one hand mounting system vs a modular can. I do like the idea of being able to change the size quickly as that's what had me looking at the Surge initially so it is a big ...

Dead Air Sandman-L vs Rugged Surge??
Hello all,
I am looking at a new .30 can. I currently have a YHM Ti .30 and a Silencerco Omega pending. I keep reading about these two and am thinking I need to try one of them out. Anyone out there have both? What are your thoughts on each? Pros / Cons / Etc?
Thanks
Jason

Re: Octane .45 vs Griffin Revolution .45
In my opinion, the only suppressor that the new Optimus doesn't replace would be a 45 suppressor. I don't feel that suppressing any caliber is a waste of time. Shooting a .40 suppressed will be much more pleasant. Also keep in mind this one is not available for sale right now. I would go with the Re...

Re: Octane .45 vs Griffin Revolution .45
Good info on the 9mm end cap. Thanks!! That saved me some money. Not to hijack this thread but I will now have to research how the Surge works because I am curious about a easy to configure modular can.
