Re: Please help settle a debate
What I won't stipulate is that the Maglite-based can would be as effective as even the bargain-priced Rebel (29-31dB reduction on a .308). The Rebel is more like 24-25 dB reduction. It's not a good can in any respect. They finally put stainless tips on the aluminum cones (we'll see if they stay put...

Please help settle a debate
A person new to suppressors (but who spent a lot of time in a Motel 6 watching YouTube) claims a Maglite-based can using off-the-shelf components (end caps, freeze plugs) would be as effective as a store-bought can. I have stipulated that it would be less expensive (say, about $100 for the parts and...

By use of a chamber insert installed (pressure fit) in the .30-06, which will allow you to chamber a 7.623x51 NATO round in the .30-06.#40Fan wrote:How is this conversion being done?
the insert is removed by use of a broken shell extractor.

NFA Branch e-mail address for 5320.20?
I need expedited approval (stop laughing) on a 5320.20 to move an SBR interstate permanently.
Does anyone have that address?
Thank you

Re: Move from OH to PA
An attorney in OH familiar with trusts should be able to determine whether your PA trust would still be valid in OH.
If I remember what my NV attorney said, all new NFA items are best placed under a new trust in your new state of residence.

Does anyone have one of these in either .450 Bushmaster or .45-70 Government?
Can you tell me what pitch the muzzle threads are?
I've got a hankering for another suppressor host in .452" or .458".

Re: Suppressing a .257 Weatherby Mag.
1. If you're using supersonic ammunition, the can won't reduce the crack of the bullet in flight, only lessen the report at the muzzle. 2. Due to the volume of gases a .257 Wby. produces, you'll need a can capable of handling a .30 caliber magnum (it has larger internal volume) than a can designed f...

Re: Looking for a .22 can host
I use my cans on a Ruger 22/45 Lite, an RIA 1911 w/.22LR upper, and a Browning Buckmark. I know two people who got rid of their Mosquitos shortly after its introduction (it sucks to be an early adopter) due to misfeeds and failures to eject. SIG may have figured the issues out by now...or not. mbogo

Are these sold in a 'direct thread' configuration, where I can just screw it and shoot or does it need additional optional hardware before I can attach it to a firearm? The SilencerCo web site refers to a "thread mount" as well a "muzzle brake attachment" and "ASR QD mount&q...

90% of my home phone calls and 80% of my cell calls and text messages are from robocallers, spammers, scammers, telemarketers, etc.
I pick up the rlandline and hang it up immediately. The cell phone calls are declined.

Could your gas block be leaking?
Consider removing the handguard(s) and putting one course of masking tape around the gas block. Fire one round and look for telltale evidence of a leak.
