Re: MPX suppressor
Omega 9K meters almost the same on a MPX as the Obsidian in long. It blows the Obsidian in short out of the water.

Re: Confused about form 3->form 4 submission timing
There's no "special permissions" or anything. Anyone can do it, and it's fairly commonplace in the industry. It's taking advantage of ATF backlogs and timing. Say a Form 4 takes 2 months to clear, realistically it's approved at maybe 45 days and then it sits for a while to be mailed. If yo...

Re: 9mm "K" Configuration Cans
The Omega 9K does just about the same as the Octane 45, which is just about the same as the Revo 45 long, and just about the same as the Obsidian in long. Octane 45- 130.3 on Sig P226. 131.1 on Sig MPX. Obsidian (long) 133.1 on P226, 131.2 on MPX. Omega 9K - 129.2 on P226, 132.8 on MPX. Same ammo, s...

Re: Deciding on a 7.62 Can
Dead Air, Rugged, SilencerCo--- don't worry about warranty. They will all take care of you. Keep in mind there's a business aspect of this, so some lawyer talk--- if SilencerCo states they will fix anything no matter what, someone eventually is going to purposely destroy cans over and over and over ...

Re: Best route, one suppresor
9mm is too big for a 7.62 can, nor will it function correctly if without running a Nelson device. The best answer is you need three cans. A good rimfire, a 45, then a 7.62. You'll be pretty much covered on it. You really start sacrificing things after that. Hybrid will sound good on rifles, but it's...

Re: Velocity Increase with suppressor
Yeah, I second that the 420 doesn't seem right. Honestly, I would be very cautious of shooting anything that slow--- someone knows more than I do about the friction between the specific projectile and the barrel on here. It seems like you could potentially be getting into squib territory, or baffle ...

Re: Quick question,,,,,,,
The stamp isn't so much as a "coupon" for a suppressor, as it is a tax return. It's showing that you paid a tax to update the registry and have an NFA item either made (Form 1) or updated to have it transferred (Form 4).

Re: which can for a 3 lug 9mm SBR
Right now, for a subgun or pistol caliber SBR the Omega 9K is a fantastic option.
I'm back and forth on if the Ghost is going to live on the MPX, or if the Omega 9K is going to stay there. The other is going to live on a Mac... both are great on sub guns.

Re: Form 3 Wait Times...Am I missing something?
If you look at NFA Tracker, there is always that one or two that get approved really quickly. I envision one of the examiners grabbing a form out of the middle of the stack and chuckling to themselves  Or corrections, which I think a lot of people post on there to be "funny" or whate...

I'm not sure I would use a SDN6 on it, that's getting pretty rough on the can. On our Diablo upper on an M16 lower we were run a Sandman-S and L.

Re: MPX or CZ Scorpion
Personally, I think the reports of the MPX being gassy are completely over the top. Even full auto, wasn't bad at all. If you're sensitive to blow back, could be an issue--- but to me the MPX has a similar amount of blowback to a really well tuned AR. Meaning, occasionally you may get a wiff of some...

Re: Industry Accuracy Testing Is Non Existent!
Echoing what a lot of people have said, it's way... way to many variables to test for a client base that's (in the grand scheme of things) non existent. I see, incredibly often, guys talking about rifle accuracy and they are using 3-5 MOA ammo. I have a 7.5" Blackout with a Saker 762 that is a ...

Odd, I was under the impression they weren't allowed to bring those to market. I'm almost wondering if that's not the MPX carbine and someone got the description wrong or updated the wrong SKU.... interesting.

The Mask is absolutely fantastic. It's my personal favorite 22 can on the market... can't really say enough good things about it.
I think you will be extremely happy with it.

Re: Optimum muzzle velocity for subs?
I may be the exception to what most guys do, but I don't load for speed with subs. I get a general range of, then work up based on accuracy. I'll usually start to see the groups open up before it gets into trans/super territory... so if I push 990-1010 and accuracy is great then I'm happy with it. I...

I know a bit. It's not really out there yet, and should be announced in a couple months I suspect. (Probably around SHOT). They let the first few out early as part of our package. Uses Octane mounts, 4.7" can, 1.5" diameter, little under 7 ounces, and should be around 125dB with subsonic 9...

Re: How long after turning in your app do they charge your CC?
I don't entirely know on the credit card charge times, my last one was about a week after I sent it in they charged my card. When it was done by checks, it was all over the map. Some guys had Forms back in hand before the check was cashed... That being said, it's not entirely uncommon the ATF punche...

Re: Dead Air Sandman-L vs Rugged Surge??
dB reduction wise, they are very very close. To the ear, I don't think anyone would be able to tell much of a difference. The Sandman-L has a deeper, more mechanical "clank" tone to it. The Surge is a bit more air-ey tone, closer to the Specwar. Tone is really personal preference, the tone...

Trust name, city and state on engraving, something like this. SUPER NFA TRUST PLACECITY, TX For registration, what the firearm you're manufacturing is what the details will be. Longer or shorter later on, doesn't matter so much. For a 10.5" 5.56, a 5.56 SBR with a barrel length of 10.5" is...

Re: Octane .45 vs Griffin Revolution .45
I have more experience with the Octane, no complaints at all about it. I've used the Revolution cans a decent amount, they seem perfectly fine as well. Changing the length on the Revolution is NOT a quick in-the-field process. If they are dirty at all, it takes some time on the bench and cleaning. I...
