,,,since I've been on here. I have had in my hand for 4 years now a tax stamp for a home made suppressor. Just now getting around to building a 9mm can. I'm a CNC machinist and was planning to do all the work, but time doesn't allow me to so I discovered this web sight today.......https://www.hawkinnovativetech.com/shop/.......has anyone just bought the parts from them and assembled their can?
I've got a YHM Titanium .30 cal, so the 9mm is next, eventually maybe a .22, but that's down the road.

Re: Been awhile,,,
Any suggestions where to buy baffles or even get prints or a file I can use at work to make my own baffles?
Thanks

Re: Been awhile,,,
I think the best thing going for 60 degree cones are the Cerberus wavelink.

If you want to spend a lot there are better options like the Quell tech FLO . You can get one pretty quiet with these but the $$$ per dB get logarithmic after a while

Re: Been awhile,,,
shld isn't shipping for at least another month, and I hate being a BETA tester per se.
I can't find out where cerebus is located and the queltech $500.00 ti trap I would have ordered tonight but they're sold out.
Right now I'm leaning towards the shld route unless someone else chimes in with a suggestion.
Thanks

Re: Been awhile,,,
Cerberus is in Minnesota. I have a set of their baffles. Great baffles that index perfectly every time. . I'm on the shld list for the 6" radial kit. $300 after discount . Making a .45 can out of that one.

Re: Been awhile,,,
Yugo,
Thanks for the help. I found the coupon code on the sight. I'm looking at a 7" either the 60 degree or radial kit. Will be for a 9mm host. Which would be better? Also, would you recommend "clipping" them, I think it's called? I'm a CNC machinist so any "extra" machining is a non-issue.

Re: Been awhile,,,
Yeah you always clip. Major difference in performance. File your form 1 and your parts will be in around the time the form comes back.

YUGO
Did you get your SHLD kit or did you opt for the free cerakote that'll delay it 2 weeks?

They called me yesterday and I went for the 2 week plan. It gets me nervous when they do s--t like that. Always pay with a credit card.
Got the last of the Cerberus stuff today. Its all gone.

Re: Been awhile,,,
On the shld mfg sight im wondering if the radial or 60* trap would be better? You said 60 is the way to go and then linked the radial soooo?

Is there a reason you don’t build it yourself since you have CNC?

Time is the biggest factor. I've had a tax stamp for a home build for 4 years and just getting around to making time to "finish" this solvent trap into a working unit.
Re: Been awhile,,,
Marginal difference if any on pistols. Maybe favoring radials . The SHLD set looks well machined so theres that and the baffles are short and lots of them in a short package. All +++'s. Ive got 30+ silencers. If everything was the same it would get dull.GrendelHunter wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:29 pm On the shld mfg sight im wondering if the radial or 60* trap would be better? I was thinking 22lr and 556 maybe 6mm ARC and 6.5 grendel who knows. Sounds like it's the 60* cones thenYugoRPK wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 9:00 amMarginal difference if any on pistols. Re: Been awhile,,,
FINALLY got my solvent trap done at work yesterday. Had the tube lazer engraved a few weeks ago and just got around to drilling out the baffles and end cap. Turned out perfect, just need to take the time to shoot it. Need to find some sub-sonic 9mm. I have tons of ammo so I'm sure I can find someone to trade some.
I have pics but I'm not opening an acct with those places to be able to post them, sorry, I'm old.
