Ice fishing is big fun! It helps to know the waters you fish to determine where the fish might be. Fish are lethargic in cold water so they don't travel far or chase bait fish so patients is a must. You need insulation from the ice so a wood pallet and box will help your feet and bum. Tip ups & a short rod are a must as is dressing warmly. Don't forget everything is colder on the ice. The biggest thing is safety------thin ice and thick are always present together. I don't venture out till pickup trucks are towing ice huts about.donaldmiller wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 9:17 am Hi everyone. I’ve never fished in winter as I only like it when the weather is warm and bright so that I have no experience in ice fishing. So, are there any special needs that I gotta pay attention to? What should I prepare for ice fishing? Thank you so much.
