Bullet rise is very significant?

Post by CGJ7755 »

Hi guys, new here. I just got a gemtech G5-T and I'm very happy with its performance thus far. I run it on a beretta ARX-100, with the gemtech muzzle brake.

I spent a few minutes and have it zero'd in perfectly at 25 meters, all shots go firmly in the middle of a 1"X11" zero square...

Typically, at 100 meters, the point of impact is around 3", and then slightly less at 200, and then roughly spot on 300 meters because of bullet drop, etc...

However, with the silencer mounted and all other factors the same, point of impact is literally 6"+, to the point where if I aim at a steel target, I need to be sure I'm aiming for center of mass to score headshots.

Has anyone else experienced this, or is this to be expected with a silenced rifle?

Quite normal for a suppressor to affect barrel harmonics enough to cause POI shift.
