dear DeGroat, please build slide-locks

Post by DorikinGTSt »

you are awesome. your Nano is awesome. awesomer on the Beretta with a slide-lock.

I too would like to be awesome with a Nano and a slide-locked gun.

Dare you be so bold as to build slide-locks?!?

I need one for my Ruger LCP. I need one for a 92f also but that goes without saying. I would buy one for a Ruger MKII also.

Everyone on this board would buy a slide-lock for at least one of their hosts and would probably buy a new gun just to mount one of your slide-locks on it.

Everyone would gladly buy a slide-lock knowing it may void their warranty or decrease the service-life of their pistol.

KAC has dropped the ball on this, and i believe you may be able to profit greatly whilst providing a much needed service to all silencer aficionados.

What has to be done to convince you to tool up/ appropriate resources for such a project?

thank you,
Rob

Put me in for a Slide lock for a 92. I'm one who will actually buy a 92 just to use your part James

I'd have to say that I'd probably buy a 92 if a slide lock were available.
Never really wanted one, but with a slide lock, I'd go for it.

I'd send in both of mine (one stainless, one blued) for slide-lock installation! I'm getting a NANO for my Sig P238 and my Walther PPK, but I'll enjoy it on my Beretta 92s, I'm sure!

No Kidding... I'm in for one as well.

"Rumor Has It" That KAC has a quantity of Slide lock assemblies sitting on a shelf, but some of the other essential small parts are not in stock with no manufacturing plans...

I wonder if DeGroat can make the missing parts if we can get KAC to sell us the partial assemblies???

I will pay $300+shipping for a KAC slide-lock with whatever parts they want to throw in. I will sign a waiver attesting to them being 0% liable for anything that happens after I receive the paperweights.

THAT would be an awesome "Christmas Cheer" part, even if it isn't for an AR. :D

Will yours click closed like the KAC version? They had a small bearing on the left side of the lock that held the lock in place like a safety.

EDITED: I am DEFINITELY interested, by the way! :D

Will you make them for other guns? My Ruger LCP will need a slide-lock very soon! And a threaded barrel, 15-round mag, and detachable shoulder stock. Can you whip those up soon too?

Slide locks are pretty cool.

I really enjoy my KAC Beretta Slide Lock setup.

Maybe one of these days I'll do some slide lock stuff, but as it stands aright now I'm pretty loaded up with Minigun and suppressor stuff right now.

I did draw a nice 3d model of the KAC Slide lock a while back and it's posted somewhere on this site.

For all that is good and holy, someone please make these and re-test the bejesus out of them! I don't even need the fancy quick-detach barrel and silencer, just the lock. I'll use my 9Osprey.
