I understand that.
I love eotechs personally. it makes accurate rapid fire pretty dang easy. IMO i haven't seen a better holo sight than eotechs.
I'm pretty much finishing up my AR, and I'm narrowing down the Red Dot options.

Some pretty credible people love the EoTech, I shot one once, and it was nice, but to tell you the truth I'm worried about the 65 MOA reticule surrounding the 1 MOA reticule getting in the way at distance, say 100-200 yards. Yes it's faster up close, but at extended range I'm a bit leery.

We'll see.

I dont even see the circle when shooting past 20 yards. any bigger than 3 MOA dot's and I don't like them. That seems huge to me, But i am still young with good eyesight, so i might change my stance there

I haven't shot at extended ranges with an eotech, and I need to get out and shoot an aimpoint to be able to appreciate the difference.

Thanks for your input.

I'm young, but not good eye sight, thanks again for the input.

I suck at taking pictures. Just added a Magpul AFG, and XTM panels as well... maybe I'll go take some new pics.

would it be wrong of me to ask for a picture request?

im thinking of getting an AR (building one from ground up) and just wanna ballpark at what it would look like. if you have these components and dont mind slapping them together and taking a quick pic or two for me, that would be awesome.

16" carbine length.
M4 6 position stock
front sight post
Quad rail (preferably the length to the front sight post)
Vertical foregrip
carry handle with A2 sight.

ive seen alot of flat top uppers with 16" barrel and quad rail and VFG but they all have different stocks and optics on them.

i know its an odd request.

thank you for your time

Here's my 2 1/2 so far. Haven't really done much to any of them. Top is all Bushmaster, M4 barrel with A1 sights and AK74 brake (yes I know, I was in California at the time). Second is all Bushmaster, regular old A2 HBAR. Bottom one is my lonely upper, need to build a lower for it one of these days. Colt SP1 large hole upper, no deflector, no fwd assist, 1:12 skinny barrel, A1 hider. Oh and the shorty triangular guards, (not the Model 1 repros) one of these days maybe I'll build something to use those on

Updated one of my ARs. Switched out the barrel on my M4ish build to a 16" threaded HBAR, added XM177 style slip on hider, put on my XM607 handguards.
