valkyrie - Have not seen a Knights dustcover before - Where did you find it?
Sanman - loving those builds. I am enjoying my AA stuff. Also, great little .22 there. How do you like the SS conversion kit?

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
My new set up and first post on here in a long time, rifle is a Daniel Defense V5 that came with no sights. I am still waiting (to purchase) on some other stuff like a geissle SSA-E trigger, aimpoint t-1 or h-1 in a Daniel Defense Mount, Surefire x300, and possibly might switch to the DD fixed buis's as well. I like the moe but would like to have a ctr, just waiting for one to pop on the ee.

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
Thanks, this was right after cleaning. I don't shoot this gun as much now that I have a Recce and a couple other projects so I might be selling it to a friend. Here's a pic of the carbon buildup from a few thousand rounds on the bolt:JasonAAC wrote:on one hand, your pics are looking great, but on the other hand, your guns are too clean- get out and shoot!st33ve0 wrote:<snip>

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
I'll add a couple with cans on them. First one has a Surefire can with PVS-14 Night vision with it's 3X military lens, Eotech weapons sight, V-tac sling, GG&G NV mounts, Surefire weapons light.
This one has a Larue Tactical stealth upper with all of their accessories. V-tac sling and Leupold scope, Buis & Surefire can.

A friend of mine needed a "Awesome picture with a nalgene in it" for a school competition, so I loaded her up, and we went out a bit into the field and took some pics.

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
Finished this one last week. Ran ok Saturday. Hitting where its supposed to, but has an occasional short stroke. Gonna try a couple parts I have on hand swapped out, adjust some things and increase lubrication. Hopefully its just tight and needs to break in, shoots pretty smooth in its current configuration.

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
My guess would be that you could go down in weight on the buffer. The ST-T2 is on par with the H3, IIRC. I'm running a 10.5" Centurion Arms upper on an H-buffer and it's working very well.

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
That's one of the avenues I'm thinking about. My reply got a little long, so I've created a new thread on the issue so as to not dick up the picture thread.rob_s wrote:My guess would be that you could go down in weight on the buffer.
