Re: Glock select fire
holy s--t this thread is awesome! i shot a local sot7s glock 17c with a gffa switch or whatever they are called and they are just bad ass! very controllable and insanely fun!
its quiet time!
Re: Glock select fire
Can you briefly explain how this one works? On the other two, I understand how the cross pin/block is sliding the disconnector forward to release the striker....

Re: Glock select fire
That one achieves the same thing by pushing down on the dis-connector when the switch is rotated. It is a very over complicated design. To many small parts.

Re: Glock select fire
True, this model has more parts than the American model but you should see the one made by FSSG which is also overly complex, go look at the FSSG patent #5 705 763, FIG 5a. It has the same number of small parts and springs.TNPittbull wrote:That one achieves the same thing by pushing down on the dis-connector when the switch is rotated. The german model is still very solid, more compact, and visually nicer, but I prefer the mecanics of the american model with it's simplicity.
All in all, both will get the job done and 100% reliable.
Re: Glock select fire
Where can I find blueprints for the 3 models presented here?

Re: Glock select fire
Since a close friend of mine recently acquired a Glock and will let me play with it, I want to try out and improve this mechanism.
One of the first improvements I am thinking of is making the casing piece on the American model out of polymer instead of steel. Do you guys think this is feasible? If so, what polymer would you recommend?
Thanks,
Lava

I suggest you High Streght Graphite Polymer (AKA Carbon Fiber).LavaRed wrote:Since a close friend of mine recently acquired a Glock and will let me play with it, I want to try out and improve this mechanism.

Re: Glock select fire
I have been reading and drolling over this tread for weeks,
I must have googled fssg, glock switch etc millions of times now-
but can someone please explain or expound on some of the differences and advantages over one kit or the other, I have seen many push pin style glock switches all basicly the same. some with round pins others with milled sides- but the switch lever action version I have never came in contact with in person- can someone with first hand experience please explain benefits and disadvantages of either style kits.
thank you in advance

Re: Glock select fire
After two years of development and collaboration with some people whom I thank for giving me great help and some one of you for your donnation, which allowed me to advance in this project. This is my last selector. A clone of Glock 18.
This project is not complete because I need to make some modification to the trigger bar, trigger housing and to the firing pin spacer sleeve. As soon as it finished, I made a new photo of the parts and a short demonstration video.

Re: Glock select fire
To use the converted slides you also have to modify the ejector by notching it if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Glock select fire
I haven't read the whole thread (it's pretty long) but in the US only class II manufacturers or Class III FFLs can own these right?
