Yes it work with the 3.5 lb connector.

The only modification is Just make a small slit on the frame

Can you briefly explain how this one works? On the other two, I understand how the cross pin/block is sliding the disconnector forward to release the striker....

That one achieves the same thing by pushing down on the dis-connector when the switch is rotated. It is a very over complicated design. To many small parts.

True, this model has more parts than the American model but you should see the one made by FSSG which is also overly complex, go look at the FSSG patent #5 705 763, FIG 5a. It has the same number of small parts and springs.

The german model is still very solid, more compact, and visually nicer, but I prefer the mecanics of the american model with it's simplicity.

All in all, both will get the job done and 100% reliable.

Where can I find blueprints for the 3 models presented here?

Since a close friend of mine recently acquired a Glock and will let me play with it, I want to try out and improve this mechanism.

One of the first improvements I am thinking of is making the casing piece on the American model out of polymer instead of steel. Do you guys think this is feasible? If so, what polymer would you recommend?

I suggest you High Streght Graphite Polymer (AKA Carbon Fiber).

I have been reading and drolling over this tread for weeks,
I must have googled fssg, glock switch etc millions of times now-

but can someone please explain or expound on some of the differences and advantages over one kit or the other, I have seen many push pin style glock switches all basicly the same. some with round pins others with milled sides- but the switch lever action version I have never came in contact with in person- can someone with first hand experience please explain benefits and disadvantages of either style kits.
