SilencerCo products and support sucks

Post by alexands »

I own a Specwar 7.62. Shot about 100 rounds through it with no problem. Then I shoot a round and the silencer blasts off the end of the rifle and flies 25 yards down range. Fortunately no one was injured. The threads look OK on the can and the brake, but I can tell there is some damage to some of the discs inside.

I sent an email to SilencerCo about 10 days ago and have not heard anything from them. Is their service usually like this? And is this a common problem with the ASR mounting system? Very disappointed!!

EDIT: It's been 2 weeks and no response from them. This is absolutely not acceptable for ANY manufacturer....especially in the gun business where reputations are effected by service. Seriously, I would never buy one of their faulty products ever again. The ASR mount is not secure and the total lack of support sends a clear message that they do not care about their customers.

They are extremely backlogged due to their summer buy one get one free promotion. Their customer service is usually top notch (I've never used it). I wouldn't stress. If another 10 days go by, id call them.

Call them. I returned a damaged Omega and got it back PERFECT in 7 days... I now own 4 SiCo cans... I've NEVER had an issue with their service.

The only issue I've ever had with them is whatever feud there is between them and Liberty that can't be hugged out.

Did you send email to someone specific or just the info @ silencerco.com address? The generic info address could easily be slammed.

Like Jeff says call them.

Did you place it on the mount correctly? Sucks that its not as simple as it looks, but I am sure if you do it a few times it'll be second nature.

I hate 3 lugs for the same reason. I launched a can a few times. 1st time was learning experience, the other 2 times I intentionally double check and it still pooped.
