CT Judge refuses to dismiss case against Remington over Sandy Hook

Surprisingly, a CT judge on Thursday denied a motion to dismiss the class action lawsuit by 9 Sandy Hook families against Bushmaster(Remington).

The Federal law, Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, was passed precisely to prevent this sort of lawsuit against gun manufacturers when a person misuses their product in a crime. I have no doubt that eventually Bushmaster/Remington will prevail, but this judge by allowing a prohibited lawsuit is just tying up the courts and wasting the public's money.

Should a judge himself be punished for deliberately and overtly ignoring the law?
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.
