Cleaning up my library I found a copy of a Peter G. Kokalis* article
in subject magazine "OSS Silenced Pistol".
He was an excellent and knowledgeable writer who
had also written for Paladin Press.
This article was part of Vol. 5,No.11 -August 2002,
the 'Silencer Issue'. Copies still available from Chipolte
Publishing, Nevada.
As for the OSS silenced pistol, the HiStandard HD pistol
was an excellent target pistol but cleaning it was complex
due to how reassembly required contortions including holding
the spring in the little hole and then, etc., etc.
In 1965 the effective and stellar 'KISS" S&W 41 cast
its siren's call from the dealer's display case.
It was a no-brainer for a 'Simple Southern** Boy" to unload the HD unit.
