Friends,
A friend is looking for a sound entry-level suppressor for an AR-15—.223—to be used with standard supersonic cartridges.
He wants a Budget silencer, without it being junk.
What do y'all recommend?
Thanks!

A lot of people like the YHM Turbo. Its a good performer and reasonably priced. I dont care for the mounting system on it, although it is removable and interchangeable with other industry-standard mounts...but that will bring the cost up
I have a Griffin Reece 5 and it is a good performer with a decent mount that is solid and repeatable.
A lot of guys just run a. 30 cal can on 5.56 and that works just fine. Allows one can to do double duty
You're only talking 2 or 300 dollars difference from bottom of the barrel to the decent performers.
I would never recommend a direct thread can for a semi-auto like an AR and most of your $400-$500 "budget" cans are going to be direct thread.
