Is km tactical an ATF honeypot or legal? incompletely drilled tube

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Is km tactical an ATF honeypot or legal? incompletely drilled tube

The difference between these tubes and aliexpress's monocore is that the single core is not fully drilled, can anyone tell me if this is legal?

Finally found added sage advice that I had run across in 1980s by the stellar suppressor
designer Don Walsh whose patents are a sine qua non reading as a starting point
for any suppressor work. Reference is "Silencers In The 1980s --Great Designs Great Designers"-
J.David Truby. P.27

"Walsh has harsh words for the various silencers kits being advertised in
the Shotgun News ( SN ). ...I'd advise anyone to stay clear of most silencer kits.
Most are expensive for you and your weapon. Not only are the majority poorly
designed and manufactured, but shortly after the mailman or UPS driver
brings you your kit, you are liable to have friendly ATF boys at your door.
If you want a silencer pay the money to do it right and do it legally
".

Most of the kits Don tested were ineffective to boot.

What is wonderfully available today is a company which advertises in The Rifleman
who will handle everything Legally and Painlessly:
Choose the best can, e.g., Dead Air Mask HD, etc.;
Name Your Trust;
Pay $200 Tax and Cost of superlative can (s);
Wait with happy anticipation for it to be shipped legally to your door!

The total cost amortized over 30+ years of use is an order of magnitude less expensive
and is easily offset by laying away of say $15.00 week by eschewing expensive
partying, fast women, slow gin, and expensive parking.

Or feel free to listen to the countervailing argument to roll your own: from a bamboo
tube covered in clay ( really made in past unpleasantness ) to misaligned
self drilled out 'wink-wink' aluminum enema tubes ... oops, Solvent Traps.

Solvent Traps, such an humorous name perhaps championed by a giggling
GS-7 Alpha-Tango-Fuzzy Agent as they were affectionately known in 1960s. :) :) :)
