ATF continued.......

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

AAC Prodigy

Mailed 6-1-07

Sent a 200$ money order so have no idea when they cashed it, but they probably didn't get it for 5-7 days.

Approved 6-22-07

Paper work arrived in MT 6-29-07

Prodigy had been manufactured at least by the 25th when I called, probably much sooner, but AAC said they couldn't mail them until the first of July? I didn't ask why, so I have no idea, even though I am curious.

Just talked to AAC and it was mailed 7-1-07, so hopefully I'll have it by Friday the 6th, maybe 7-7-07, lucky day?

Cyclone72: Your wish is my command. Here is what I just picked up. I forgot to mention that the Flemming HK sear is inside an MP5 10mm. It is done by Murray Urbach and just like everything that leaves his shop is a work of art. The only thing that can possibly make his builds look bad is my photography skills! With it is a KAC 10mm Navy can. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day!

Here is a closeup of the KAC since this is a silencer forum:

Kirmil can you please report back on the KAC navy. I have one in 9mm on transfer and would be interested on the performance and your thoughts in general.

KAC makes the very best silencer in 10mm. The only negative is the round itself. 10mm is a lot like .40 and .45 in that it doesn't suppress as well as 9mm. I love the round though and the fact that the FBI has the 10mm MP5's. My personal preference is 3-Lug attachments, but I just shot it today and it perfomed well. Had a crack down range but was hearing safe with no muffs. After 5 30rd dumps the can was too hot to touch, but that is to be expected. If I was buying another 10 or .40 can, this would be the one. Only negative will be if I ever need customer service from KAC from what I've heard.

Kirmil,

Thanks for the report. These cans have quite a reputation as being the best but as you say KAC might not do well as far as customer service. I can be pretty persuasive though.

If they are truly the best, hopefully customer service will never be an issue?

(304) 616-4500

I spoke to them Tuesday and they said it taking about 5 weeks to go pending right now. It wasn't that way a month ago but that what they told me.

Yep, I don't know what is going on unless there are a lot of people on vacation or the lawyers looking over all the trusts are slowing down the whole process.

I am waiting on my first suppressor, warlock, and it is taking forever. It has been about 3 full weeks and it hasn't gone to pending yet.
